Describe your journey. The agents follow it.
Every fleet has its rules: its intake steps, its alert thresholds, its chasing rhythm. On Backlane they are written in one sentence, not an IT project, and every vehicle, invoice or lead follows them.
One sentence is enough
"New electric vehicle intake, long-term lease: tracker fitted within 5 days, inspection on arrival, tax clearance if imported." The agent composes the sequence, step by step, with its deadlines and blockers.
You adjust, everything is versioned
Every step can be edited, removed, reordered. Every version is kept: you always know which rule produced which action.
Every new vehicle follows it
The sequence becomes the default journey: 40 vehicles delivered on Monday, 40 files opened on Monday, without one manual entry.
"A vehicle sleeping more than 5 days"
The rule becomes a daily round: every morning, matching vehicles surface as cards in your queue, with the context to decide.
"Chase at D+3, then D+10"
Your chasing cadence, not ours. The engine runs it every day and announces the day before what will go out.
"Malus after 2 claims"
Your risk thresholds, applied without fail. A rule can be tested, activated, switched off: it is data, not a development.
Versioned
Every rule and sequence carries its history: who changed what, when, and which version acted.
Journaled
Every action a rule triggers is written and replayable. No black box.
Reversible
A rule switches off in one click; what it produced stays traced and correctable.
Do I need to code?
No. A rule is written in plain language; the agent composes it and shows you what it will do before you activate it. The only required language is your trade's.
What if a rule is wrong?
It switches off in one click, its history remains, and any unusual send volume is frozen by the circuit breaker anyway. A rule cannot empty your outbox.
Are my journeys fixed at the start?
No: you start from standard journeys (intake, chasing) and drift them toward your practices. The "takeover" profile imports the existing fleet without replaying steps.
No commitment. Nothing changes with your current tools or insurer.
